Board of Directors Member Biography
William H. Johnson
Bill and his family have been residents of Naperville for the past 23 years after living in Salt Lake City, Utah and Birmingham, Alabama. Bill graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business and a major in Accounting. He was awarded a CPA certificate in Alabama.
Bill spent 30 years with the Arthur Andersen and Accenture organizations before electing early retirement in 2001. He has extensive experience as an accountant, a consultant and in management and leadership positions. His roles included Auditor, Tax Manager, Director of Administration, Director of Human Resources, and Director of Recruiting.
After retiring from the business world, Bill spent the past 7 years serving the not for profit sector. He has provided financial and management consulting services to churches and for two years was the interim camp director for Presbyterian Camps. Currently Bill is the Executive Director of Interfaith Council for the Homeless, an agency that helps homeless women and families move from the shelter system to permanent supportive housing.
Bill is a member of River Glen Presbyterian Church where he is an Elder with responsibility for strategic planning. He has served as the Clerk of Session and as the Elder for Personnel.
Bill is an Eagle Scout and has served on a number of civic boards. Bill believes strongly in the benefits of the Christian camping ministry and is committed to the successful transition of ownership of Presbyterian Camps from the Presbytery of Chicago to the LCC. Bill brings hands-on management experience at the camp to the LCC.
