Board of Directors Member Biography
Rev. Dr. Stewart Pattison
Stewart has been the pastor of Community Presbyterian Church since 2003. He grew up in Laguna Beach California before earning degrees from Portland State University in Oregon (B.S.), Fuller Seminary in California (M.Div), Princeton Seminary in New Jersey(Th.M) and Gordon-Conwell Seminary in Massachusetts (D.Min).
Stewart has served in the Presbytery of Chicago for almost sixteen years and has either chaired or served on a number of presbytery committees. As a member of Mission Council #8 he was part of the leadership team that led the Mission Council on several mission trips to Kentucky as well as raise funds for the Jones Center, a community center in Chicago Heights.
Stewart has been an active camper. As a teen living in California, he was active at both Westminster Woods and Calvin Crest. As a youth minister he took youth groups to Montreat, N.C., has been a youth speaker at several large youth events in New York State. As a member of the Chicago Presbytery Stewart has led several retreats at Presbyterian Camps –Saugatuck as well supported the children of Community Presbyterian Church as campers at Saugatuck.
Stewart misses surfing, but loves being in the Midwest with his wife Bonnie and their three children.
