LAKESHORE CHRISTIAN CAMPING (LCC)
As many of you are aware we are living in difficult financial times. This current financial environment has put our Presbyterian Camps in Saugatuck, Michigan at risk of being sold. The impending risk that the Presbyterian Camps may be sold has engaged a group of Presbyterian Elders from six different churches within the Chicagoland area to form a not-for-profit corporation in the State of Illinois called Lakeshore Christian Camping (LCC). The LCC has presented a proposal to purchase the Presbyterian Camps. The LCC has made the commitment to maintain the current mission:
Presbyterian Camps is a holy place that
· Celebrates creation
· Renews the spirit
· Nurtures Faith
· Builds community
Where all are welcome to come and grow in Christ.
The vision of the LCC is to maintain all youth camping programs, family camps and retreat programs, that serve the Presbyterian churches within the Chicagoland area, for future generations. The LCC will not only maintain the current mission and tradition of the Presbyterian Camps but will work aggressively to develop the Presbyterian Camps into a preferred retreat center and youth camping organization.
We are seeking your support for the sale of the Presbyterian Camp to the Lakeshore Christian Camping (LCC). The sale of the Presbyterian Camps to the LCC, and your ongoing support, will guarantee that the Presbyterian Camps will be preserved for future generations. The board of directors of the LCC lift this up to you, members of the Presbyterian Churches within the Chicagoland area; there is a viable alternative to the residential development of the Presbyterian Camps that provides a finacial solution and maintains the ministry of the Presbyterian Camps in Saugatuck, Michigan.

Our hope and prayer is for a vote to sell the Presbyterian Camps in Saugatuck, MI to Lakeshore Christian Camping. This vote will preserve the ministry and tradition of the Presbyterian Camps that has been a cornerstone for generations of families and individuals within each of our faith communities since 1899.
